Jill has been working as an Illustrator since graduating from the University of Brighton in 1997.

She particularly enjoys working in watercolours with pen and ink detail, which she finds adds expression and fluidity to an image. Her other style, an Inky Stick, is literally as it sounds, a stick and a pot of ink, giving a great freeness and spontaneity to an illustration.

Jill lives in West Sussex, with her husband, two daughters and various pets. She finds inspiration from her surroundings, her children and animals offer humour, chaos and much variety to her day! In between the school runs and dog walks Jill loves to lose herself in illustrations.

Clients include: Paperchase, The Paper House Group, Marks and Spencer, The Leaping Snail Press, Magi Publications, Heritage Art Papers, and she is currently illustrating a new picture book for North-South Books.
