Charlotte graduated with an MA in Children’s Book Illustration with first class honours in 2014 and more recently, graduated with a merit from the Cambridge School of Art in 2016.
She loves making picture books and has worked on four stories that she has written herself in the last two years as part of her university courses. She is inspired by her own experiences and observations of the world around her. She creates images using coloured pencil with a watercolour and ink wash. Recently, she has also been developing linocut artworks, printed with black oil based inks with the colour added digitally in Photoshop.
She also has an interest in freelance illustration. In 2014, Charlotte’s work was displayed in the Manchester Central Library as part of a Manchester City Transport competition. She also completed a two week work placement with Hallmark Cards in July 2015 and designed the cover illustration for the March 2016 ‘Cambridge Edition’ magazine.
Charlotte grew up in Nottinghamshire with her family and a love of reading, drawing and playing the clarinet. She lives and works in Cambridge.
