Rosie Eve

Residing in East London, Rosie Eve shares a Victorian peanut factory with eleven other artists, an angry cat and a dog that looks like a rabbit. Rosie made her first illustrated book when she was just seven years old; ‘Guide to Not Being Fat’ was a well-intentioned gift for her slim (and luckily not overly sensitive) mother.

Rosie used to work in an advertising studio with film directors and digital artists; whilst there she learnt about photo manipulation, storyboarding and layout design. She enjoys documentaries about people, Japanese woodcuts, comic books and dramatic movies. These all influence her image making and storytelling. She uses a range of traditional and digital techniques to create her images.

Recently graduated from Anglia Ruskin University with an MA in Children’s Book Illustration, Rosie’s most recent project, ‘The Bear and The Change’ was shortlisted for the Stratford-Salariya Picture Book Prize 2017.
