Kate Sheehy

Kate is and author and illustrator living in Dublin, Ireland with her daughter and their three cats.

After receiving a degree in Fine Art from the National College of Art and Design in Dublin, Kate went on to complete a Masters in Children’s Book Illustration at The Cambridge School of Art where she found her true passion. It was during the MA that two cheeky little guinea pigs called Bob and Ginger were born. They went on to be the stars in her book series with Dorling Kindersley.

Kate loves to create fun, humorous characters and quirky stories. She works with a variety of different mediums and processes including printing, pencil, ink, and photoshop.

Kate has won third place in the Carmelite prize 2017 for illustrating a text by acclaimed author Rachel Bright.
